Asado

Today I headed down to Asado situated on Colston street. I was lucky enough to run a giveaway competition with Lucian the owner and head chef last week, for my 1000 followers milestone on my Instagram.

The local winner of the £60 feast was Abi Ward (give her a follow). She is also lucky in that Asado have just recently launched their first limited edition burger for 2019 and its a beauty!

Its called the El Beefy!

• x2 dry aged organic beef patties

• x4 slices of West Country cheddar cheese

• Green peppercorn & dry-aged beef fat mayo

• Malbec onions

• All in their custom made buns.

I have a soft spot for the seasonal slaw here and I just had to try the IPA cheesy chips, which are hand pressed skin on chips slathered in... you guessed it - IPA cheese sauce!

I've had the limited La Musa before, which comes dripping in a similar cheese sauce and that was one of my favourites.

Speaking of IPAs, I was pleased to see one of my favourite breweries had a beer on draft, it was the very fresh tasting Kennedy Lives, a 5.9% NEIPA from the New Bristol Brewery.

This new burger was absolutely amazing, I loved the beef fat and peppercorn mayo and the malbec onions were a totally new experience for me, and they were great as well.

I loved the IPA cheesy chips, they were like crack! I even helped my friend finish off his. So I fully recommend you try them when you go.
